Statistical Data

Statistical data on the activity of port operators and owners of public transport ports related to the port services offered therein – loading/unloading/transhipment of cargoes to/from vessels:
- gross-gross weight of cargoes in tonnes (quarterly and annual data); 
- number of Ro-Ro transport units (annual data); 
- containers - TEU (annual data);  
- number of vessels (annual data).

Data on maritime and inland waterway transport from all countries carrying out surveys as required by Directive 2009/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 2009 on statistical returns in respect of carriage of goods and passengers by sea and Regulation (EU) 2018/974 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2018 on statistics of goods transport by inland waterways are publicly available on Eurostat’s website:
